Hey guys. Here I'm playing Chanson on my keyboard. It is from before I got my real piano so be gentle on the keyboard comments. Thanks.

Thanks for watching.

Hi again.

Before I say something about your playing, I just say an other thing!
It would be much more fun to comment on your videos is you responded to what we've written. We take quite much time to think of something valuable to say, and it's just fair that you do the same!

Anyhow, your playing:

1. Make sure the melody is an even line. When you play, some notes are very loud, while some notes disappear.
2. Don't make an accent on every bar line. You sing as well, and there you would never sing like that. Try to sing the pieces you play.
3. When will we see a video of you playing an actual piano? :)

Oops! I looked it up on Wikipedia and if the internet says something it must be true, right? LOL :-\
Do you know who did write this piece?

I think I posted this somewhere before but it is me on a real piano.

I see your confusion - chanson is just French for song.

I see your confusion - chanson is just French for song.

This particular 'French song' comes from 'Piano Adventures' level 4 by Nancy and Randall Faber and at the bottom of the page it is written "Chanson is the French word for song". I guess I didn't need Wikipedia after all. :o

I haven't been able to play the piano much lately due to the hurt wrist I wrote about in another section of this forum but I have been able to sing.

I thought I might share my cover of "I Dreamed a Dream" to let you know I'm still active.

Stop saying "I" when you're plugging your daughter.
And it seems a bit early to call her a "model, singer, pianist, actor."

I think Daniel needs his sleep.
Leaving posts at 4 AM shows he's grumpy.

It is never to early to work hard and have a positive outlook.

I agree with Liszt1022. It's something extremely off-putting with calling a 12 year old girl a model, singer, pianist and actor. I don't want to be a douche, but It's like those model shows, where the mothers paint their daughters with so much make up, that they look like very small... well.. prostitutes. There's just something so wrong about it.

I'm not saying it's too early to start working and promoting, but it's too early to call her anything of the things you do. I mean, I know many very talented people, in all the fields your mentioning, but basically none of them are prepared to call themself model/singer/actor yet. I normally don't call myself pianist. I have a website, where I called myself that, but it felt somehow shameful to, cause I know I am far from being one...

Just because someone occationally paint a house on a piece of paper, or construct a tree-house, doesn't mean they can be called architects...

Well I can see your point but it's a pet peeve of mine because of my mother. She will not call herself an "artist" even though she has been drawing and painting for 40 years and has been commissioned for many works. To see how ridiculous she is, check her website www.artbyling.com. She says it's because the word "artist", to her, means someone of the highest skill level. Now I've heard a lot of people who call themselves "artist" and their work does not display the "highest skill level" (and mom will point it out in disgust).

I guess since you guys have pointed out the distaste I'll have to admit defeat to my mother...AAAAHH!

I was trying to show the members here that I am a diligent (Dad's favorite word) and busy student but it came off differently.

I would like to say, in defense of us young people, that it's not the age. I would certainly consider Jacky Evancho a singer.
