How old is an Heintzman with serial: 86040?
Could you please tell if it was manufactured in Canada or China?
And any cost estimation would be much appreciated?

Thank You,
Ziko

Thanks for the reply, this means it was manufactured in Canada?
Do you have any idea about the price?

Thank you,

Any Heintzman with a serial number previous to 1980 would be made in Canada. Upright production was resumed in 1982 for a very short time after Sklar Pepplar purchased the assets in 1981, but only for Ontario/Quebec and never became full production. Machinery sold and moved to China.

For a Heintzman of that age it is best to have it inspected by a local technician of your choice; preferably one that does restorative work on vintage pianos. Prices vary quite widely across the nation.
