Hi fbt,

You've played a delightful rendition of Ibert's piece, capturing its character and spirit.  Wonderful!  I had played it way back in my youth as part of a 10-piece program for the National Piano Playing Auditions sponsored by the Piano Teachers Guild here in the U.S.  So I had to go look it up--it was in 1961!  So thanks for stirring up that memory too.  :)

David

Thank you david. I think I also played it around 61 or 62 . I'm reliving my musical youth!

...loved the evident playfulness throughout! To enhance this intent further, may I suggest you play all those staccato notes (esp. the LH) with just your fingers, and not bounce your hand and/or wrist? That will give you a lighter and yet more rhythmical sound. You should also play those arpeggiated chords quicker. And in the middle section, wait longer in the rests before the surprise comes!

Thank you for your input.I will try out some of your ideas. I'm never sure how my tonal effects will turn out on a homemade recording.
