Where are the good music schools in South America?
on: August 02, 2011, 07:39:33 PM
Hi y'all

I recently got back from a trip to Bogotá, Colombia and really enjoyed it.  I'm thinking about spending more time in South America and was wondering where are the good music schools?

Thanks

Michael

I guess it depends.

I don't know what are the better music schools in South America, but here in Argentina there are a lot of students that come to study music, and every time I asked why they told me that in other countries of the continent it is very expensive to pursue a career in music.

This is the only thing that I can say on this subject. I hope it helped!

There's the National Conservatoire "Carlos Lopez Buchardo". I study there. Like many other conservatoires, it is free (for residents, I think that foreigners have to pay a very small fee).

Then of course there are private choices, and they include many popular music schools.

Could you be more specific about what do you want to study?
