Where is BIRBA???
on: August 10, 2011, 02:18:21 PM
Has Birba left for good??!!??

His last post was May 25 and here is what he posted a day before that:

xxx ... I pondered on what you said in a thread a few days ago, about if someone leaves they just leave without saying anything.  You're right.  I've sort of lost interest here.  I used to listen to all the audition room postings, make notes, comment, sometimes even do a video, etc. Now I could care less.  Maybe it's just a slump?

It was so exciting when Becky and oldlady pianist were here.  Wierd, isn't it?  We actually discussed intelligent things.  How is that possible a hoax and made-up people can be so utterly authentic and tangible?!

No, I think this site is wonderful and is a treasure trove of info.  I'm even playing that Dutré prelude rachfan posted a while ago, in a concert.  But like everything else, it is worth only as much as the effort you put into it.  If you have that effort.  Am I coherent?  I feel like one of those battery bunnies that are losing the juice...

My ... personally it would really be a loss in the real sense if he left ...

Yeah, where is birba??? He was a great asset to this forum and I've missed his posts and videos. I hope he decides to return, at least once in a while, and grace us with his virtual presence.

I have also missed the witty and snarky comments of thalbergmad and pianisten1989, respectively, who have not been active for almost a month.

My guess is that birba is still out there.

We must all keep in mind that the vast majority of members are posting for free. They have no financial connection to this site. Some of those have a moral/social obligation to stay in touch. Others drift off into cyber space, like a tool kit from from a space walk.

Not everyone works on a computer everyday. For those of us that do it is very easy to quickly check into the forum.

FYI August is vacation month. When September rolls around we'll see who checks in.

I think Birba got fed up after that Pianolady/Becky/Rogers fake. I sorta miss him too.
Thalbergmad got fed up with "all that Sorabji" here :P
Pianisten? I don't know.

What a pity... if only thal knew that I had stopped posting soon after the sorabji thread...

Wo ist Birba?

Und wo ist Bernhard?

Wo ist jemand, wer alt ist?  (Not sure about the grammar/word choice on that last one...)

Well it seems pretty obvious that Birba has left Pianostreet.

Personally I feel we have lost a valuable asset who contributed and shared his
his talents. :'(

I'm quite surprised when I read this thread and found out about "fakes"... uh... fakes? ... in a piano forum?

I don't understand what benefit that would bring. It's like those people in chess sites using engines for their games. I mean, after you turn off your computer/log off the internet there's nothing tangible to hold on to.
