About Rhytm and Tempo
on: August 11, 2011, 01:09:28 PM
Do you have a suggestions to help to keep rhytm and tempo steady without a metronome?  When I played with metronome, everything was alright but when I stop the metronome, I ofter play before the tempo counts in and sometimes I play faster and slower.

My teacher used to say that to feel rhytm with your heart T-  T"  But I don't kinda know what to do.

You could switch metronome on, to set your speed, and start counting aloud. Keep counting, (1...2...3...4...) and start to play. You could also stamp you feet. If this doesn't work then just keep practising with the metronome on until your teacher tells you to stop.
