This is a nice set IF you are looking for something for your orchestra to play... Unless you are really good at taking a conductors score and reducing it to piano as you play, then I suggest you look at something else... In the description it said this music was for "mixed orchestra", but if you really want to play a Beethoven symphony on the piano, if you go to www.sheetmusicarchive.net they have an arrangment of the Beethoven fifth symphony... Also, if you just really want to have the scores or whatever, dover publishes a few full scores, and they are lots cheaper!!! You might want to check them out!

Love,

Sarah

This comment will get me into trouble here for sure.  But... other than the Pastorale, I only like Beethoven's odd numbered symphonies, particularly 3, 5, 7, and 9.  I'm not nearly as keen on the even ones.   That probably makes me, well, odd.

The Prodigy Who Saw Into the Future – Lili Boulanger’s Piano Music

Despite a constant fight against illness, she achieved great mastery as a composer, and left behind a significant catalog of works characterized by intense emotional depth, in a sophisticated, post-Romantic, Impressionist style. Now, all her scores for solo piano are available to Piano Street’s members. Read more
