Two and Three part Inventions

The school which I want to go asks as part of the requisites to play one of the three part Inventions of Bach (Symphony) plus a piece which has a similar level to the Invention I chose.
Do you think it is necessary to learn the 15 two part Inventions before starting to learn a Three Part Invention?
Right now, I am starting to learn the first Two Part Invention.

Some of the more difficult 2-part inventions are as hard as the easier 3-part inventions. It's not necessary to learn all of them before moving on
