portato ?

If you have a two note slur, and the second note is marked staccato, is that considered portato?
Or, if you have a string of several notes marked staccato with a slur over them, is the very last note to be played staccato or portato? Thank you in advance for your time:)

1. it is to be played staccato.
2. depends upon context/interpretation but generally portato.

It's pretty simple, I believe. If every note in a slur has a dot they are all portato. If only the last note has a dot, it signifies staccato for that note.
