Calling all Adults on this forum!
on: January 13, 2003, 12:46:40 AM
I know you are out there!  It seems that there a few topics that are unique to adults.  Students have certain things at their disposal that we do not, for example -

Teachers - many (teachers) prefer young pianists because they can *mold* them to become professional musicians, and who knows, brilliant ones.  Adults are not their favorites types of students for a lot of reasons.

Recital and concerto opportunites - most music programs provide these things. I'll probably never do them, unless I give a small recital at home for my friends or something.

Music camps - there are a very few out there for adults only - are any of them any good?

Master classes - never been to one - what are they like?  Who gives good ones?  Where?

and on and on.  Most of the student age members of the forum will have little interest in some of these topics, but many adults do.  If YOU are one of those, reply to this post, and if we get several, I'll lobby nilsjohan to add an adults-related area to the forum someplace.  Whaddya all think?
So much music, so little time........

Hello !!!

I'm 27(adult enough ?) I like your idea (for adult piano board). I'm a piano teacher and I'd like to work with someone adult(kids and teenage can be boring).
Master classes are GREAT thing !I will let you know about !!!
