Hello,

I want to ask you all if you know interesting works for 4 hands which are:

- based on a particular (famous) theme    and/or

- have some jazzy elements

With 4 hands I mean on 1 piano.

Composers such as Kapustin and this style would be great.I aslo wanted to ask if someone has a score of Dance Macabre for 4 hands (1 piano) ?

Thanks!!

I don't think there is a Danse Macabre for 4 hands on one piano. Saint-Saens himself arranged it for 4 hands on two pianos, I think that's what you're gonna find. I played that one a few times in college, it was pretty fun.

The four-hand arrangement of Saint-Saens' Dance Macabre is in the attachment.

Best regards, Dr

Well, I do not know any four-hand pieces based on some famous theme nor any particularly jazzy ones. I could only recommend you Ravel's La Valse - it is rather not jazzy, but I like it, so perhaps I could help you with it. ;) The score is in the attachment.

Best regards, Dr

P.S. If you nevertheless had the opportunity of playing two pianos, four hands configuration, I recommend Gershwin's Variations on "I Got Rhythm". ;)

Kapustin has a Sinfonietta for 1 piano 4 hands. You can find a recording of it on YouTube.

Thank you retrouvailles! That's more or less the style I'm looking for!
Although, I searched everywhere but can't find any website where to order the scores :(
You have an idea?
