"What's you're favorite pianist over the last 100 years?"

Mine is " Vladimir Horowitz " Sergei Rachmaninoff " Glenn Gould " !

I would like too add Edvard Grieg too if that's not to much on the edge , but he did some recordings in 1903 and 1906.

Far too many:

-Glenn Gould
-Vladimir Horowitz
-Idil Biret
-Konstantin Scherbakov
-Sviatoslav Richter
-Sergei Rachmaninoff

And my two past piano teachers and a friend of the Conservatory where I used to study. In my opinion he has done the best interpretation of Ginastera´s first sonata.

Hi,

Some pianists who quickly come to my mind:

Hamelin, Ashkenazy, Volodos(with his Rach 3), Gilels, Pogorelich, Katsaris.

It is so hard to mention favorite ones. There are so many faboulous pianists whom I would like to mention. Bu these have created strong emotions and had me under their influence for a while.

To me - Maurizio Pollini is the absolute winner. The man is brilliant.
