Bach - Prelude and Fugue in A major, BWV888 (WTC II)
on: September 13, 2011, 12:50:37 PM
after a little hiatus i am back with the next one, the prelude and fugue in a major from the second book. the prelude is a bit hard to pin down in character as some find it to be more a gigue style and others a pastorale. the fugue is just one of those perfect subjects that makes a very clear cut, neat fugue. he doesn't do anything learned such as stretto or inversion but it still captivates.
UPDATE 12/08/12 - surreptitiously replaced this, as it was originally recorded on a very out of tune piano
