oh wow...much of this depends on your learning style...have you considered how best YOU ..not me or that other person learns?   Such an important factor and unique to YOU.

If you can learn thru reading a description and visualizing..in your imagination...what is meant...then you might be able to realize a great deal from online instruction...This can be enhanced IF the online teacher uses video clips like on U-Tube..for demonstration... what she/he means.

One thing will be definitely lacking and that is a critique of the ACCOUSTICAL Sound you are making.....extremely important!

You could certainly learn hand positions...and technique ...online..

No, I really don't think online is the same, and in this case, the inequality means not as good.  However, there are probably some exceptions.  For example, you could probably gain more from a great teacher online vs. a lousy one in person.  But, if you take the same great teacher and could choose between online vs. in-person, in-person is by far the better choice.

It's not just about learning style.  And, I do want to point out that everything has its place.  Do we need things described and do we need to read about topics?  Yes.  And those are their own ways of learning and we need those.  But, in-person study has its own place, too, which can't be replaced!

An online teacher no matter how qualified can't be as good as a real teacher sitting there while you play.  The worst mistake you can make is one you don't know your making.  A good teacher can spot that at once and stop you from starting to make it a bad habit which is very difficult to try and unlearn.

Depends on what "qualified" and what "real" mean!  If the only way for me to see my teachers were online, I'd be happy for that.  But, even though it's a possibility (I mean, the technology exists), I still travel to them.

Personally I don't know because I don't currently do any teaching nor take any lessons online (though I have done both, before) - I'm outta the loop, I guess.  But, people have advertised here before and I would think that you could find some by good ol' Googlin'.  But, maybe somebody will show up soon to help you out.  Or, is this all a setup to lead into an advertisement  :o ::).  Somebody new just recently advertised here about some new program ... are you them?  hmm???

Dear Maya
I am afraid your reply was not honest. I am in this forum more than 2 years . I have recording in audition room . I can not play piano very well and really need help. I don't need your money because I have a good job. I can not trust Google ads .and I thought I can trust you sorry . :-[
Thank you anyway

Dearest and fondest drzh - I'm afraid your comment is absolutely, 100% not true.

I'm not taking it upon myself to check, but if you've been here that long and have been paying attention, then you would see that there are many helpful posts here and many resources, some of which are from me (since 2004) and all of which are for free.  Including, SOME people advertising online lessons - none of which I can tell you whether or not they are truly helpful.

Thank you anyway

You are most welcome, and nothing but the very best wishes in your studies.

You could look at this article.  I know nothing about the people mentioned, but it may be what you are looking for. https://www.globenewswire.com/newsroom/news.html?d=233014

Hello Drazh.
I would recommend you to read some books about technique and music theory. You don't have to, but if you do that and give it a little mind, you will have a good basic knowledge about what you're doing. Now that the teacher isn't sitting beside you, it's important to always think through whatever the online teacher is saying. Try reading up on the bad habits in piano playing. Find out what you want to avoid when you play.

In short terms, if you give it a little effort, the online teacher might be able to help you.

But i would NEVER (personally) recommend an online teacher.

Dear carmen
I know real teacher is the best . But I have no choice because I am living in a small city . An acceptable teacher is at least 12 hours far away . If I could find some experienced teacher like Bernhard or bob or pianisten etc   that would be the best choice.
Thanks
