Anyone Know This Piano Exercise Book?
on: September 30, 2011, 10:54:24 PM
When I was a kid, I used this great exercise series.  I can't for the life of me remember the name but here are a couple clues
-There were multiple levels in the series, and each book had a different color stripe on the cover.
-They were all five-finger exercises.
-Students were specifically instructed to play ff, because if you can play ff, you can play softer as well.
-The book gave very specific instructions as to how often to practice- you were to practice the current exercise something like 5 times a day and the ones previously done once or twice a day.  I don't exactly remember, but I do remember that they were VERY specific about it.
-It wasn't the virtuoso pianist....I have that one!

Can anyone help me out?

Maybe Dozen a Day, but I'm doubting it.
