Prüchner grand piano?
on: October 04, 2011, 12:55:38 AM
Hello all! I'm new to the forum.

A quick.... or not so quick question.

We are currently rebuilding a Prüchner grand piano in our shop. It has Prüchner and Berlin on the fall board, and 1091 stamped into the sound board. No other markings.

It appears to be a very well made piano (a typical German). If I had to guess at age it would be turn of the century or a little later. The Prüchner has a cracked pin block. We're making a new one for it.... restringing... etc.

Any information on the Prüchner? There is nothing in any of our books regarding this brand. And the internet has turned up zilch.

Just curious.
