on: October 04, 2011, 11:38:09 PM
Hey guys.

Im looking for an amp. Im going to buy the Korg SP-250 and i need an amp som others can hear what im playing ( if i get that good haha )
And yes im a beginner so im not looking for something that bill gates would buy , just a normal person with mid-range budget :)

I've heard Roland recommended a few times.

Roland:

at least: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/KC350
better: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/KC550

Others:

Hartke: Not bad: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/KM200/
Behringer: Maybe: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/K3000FX/

There are others, but I myself will never use a speaker that's not 15" nor an amp less than 300 watts.  At home, less is power ok, but not to perform.
Albeniz: Suite Española #1, Op 47,
Bach: French Suite #5 in G,
Chopin: Andante Spianato,
Chopin: Nocturne F#m, Op 15 #2
Chopin: Ballade #1 Gm & #3 Aflat Mj

For amps I suggest either Behringer or Roland. Those deliver the widest range frequencies that are reguired for a full sound. I use Behringer myself...

Yeah, the Roland 550 and 350 is what I heard.

Holy cow, the price went up on those.  The 550 used to be about $500.  Those Sweetwater pics... The 550 is bigger than the 350.  They do have the specs listed.

And a buying guide.

Wow... Only $1,000, but free shipping.

I use two Behringer K45O on top of two handmade cabinets with 4x12 Behringer woofer speakers when on stage and the sound is awesome. For home practice I have two K108's which are only small 15 watts but do an excellent job for practice and loud enough for a small audience.
Just be sure whatever you buy is made for keyboards. You need the full range of frequency which guitar amps don't supply...

See the fine print:
"Note: While most of the items we sell ship for free, this item does not qualify for free shipping due to special circumstances."

Haha.  "Special circumstance" being that you want to order it.  Haha.  I didn't look at the details that well.  Most of them had "free shipping" slapped on them.
