Andaluza by Enrique Granados - Piano Cover Version
on: October 13, 2011, 07:38:25 PM
Hello Everyone,
This is my second video that I have uploaded on youtube. It is "Andaluza" by Enrique Granados. However, it is telling me on youtube that I may have content which is either owned or licensed by Warner Chappell. I don't have any idea why it says that, because it is just me playing the piano! Anyway, I hope you will all like this song and please, once again reply with some feedback and comments. I would appreciate it a lot thanks! Hope you will like it:

Hi - a very nice effort. Several things, of course you know this would sound nicer where your piano more in tune. A general comment. Try and relax your right hand more. Just looking at the video it seemed tense even in areas when it wasn't doing to much.
Lets see, Look where the andante begins. At about 1:21 of the recording each of those little three note patterns in the right hand that have rest signs for the left hand need to be very clear. NO sound reverberating under the melody. Next at about 1:31 you have the right hand playing a three note pattern going down ending on a quarter note, then a new phrase going up. This phrase going up is an answer to the first pattern going down. It needs to be clearly demarcated. At 1:39 there is to much of a break repeated several times.
Hope all of that made sense. Like I said a very nice job. Its the little things though that will put this piece over the top. Keep posting, playing, and progressing.

Hi fingers, I'm also learning this piece.
Firstly I'd like to comment on your rubato. Overall I think you've done a good job using it but, there are spots where I THINK rubato is not necessary or where you over used it, like kellyc said at 1:39. You did a better job than me in making the top voice distinctive and clear. For the bass you played in a bit too loud although that might be due to the audio.
I hope my comments are not too harsh.
