Hi all.  I'm new to this forum and I need help.  I live in Nassau County in long Island.  I have a Kawai K2 that was purchased about 1 1/2 yrs ago and has barely ever been played.   The plastic is still on the pedals.  It is in amazing condition.   It was bought at Frank & Camille's East in Long Island.  There is 8 1/2 yrs left on a 10 yr transferable warranty.  The problem is I am moving to Florida, and I cannot bring it with me.  It cost us over $5400 after tax a year and a half ago.   I am asking $3500 but I will listen to all reasonable offers.

The problem is That I have no clue how to sell it, nor do I know too much about pianos.  Because of this I would rather find someone in my area, because I do not feel comfortable being responsible for shipping.  I would consider it though if it was done the right way.  Is anyone interestested in this piano?  Or could someone please possibly suggest some good ways I may go about trying to sell it?  I would really appreciate some suggestions from people who know more than I do.

If you do have any interest, leave your email, and I will get in touch with you.

Thanks everyone.

Selling a piano is difficult.
A dealer could get $3500 for that piano.
It's not likely you'll get that much.

I think your asking price is fair for a piano that new. List in www.pianomart.com for a percentage fee. A dealer could sell it on consignment. Maybe even Frank and Camilles (who I'm familiar with). They will probably get around 4k and take 25% for the sale. That piano has probably gone up 5% since you bought it so may look more attractive to a shopper.

Thanks all for your advice.  In Long Island it is hard to get a K2 for anything less then 4,000 before tax and possibly delivery.  I am not hard up on that price but in speaking with People who are in the industry and know more then I do I should get somewhere between $3000-$3500.  I do appreciate all of your feedback, and any that may come in the future.

As a matter of fact, we hold our Nassau County chapter PTG meetings at Frank and Camilles.
