Understanding where you are. . .(?)
on: November 01, 2011, 05:29:53 AM
Hello. I am wondering how do you find what level piano player you are that constantly mentioned in this forum.
Currently I'm playing Chopin Nocturne in C sharp minor as well as moonliht sonata mv 1&2.
Where would one find what level pieces are and when one should progress to the next level?
thanks

hmm, for me lately? i find you just know 'in your gut' when you listen to and follow with a score, that is, an overwhelming sense of confidence in your ability to get all the music out of the score with (or with) instructor guidance. sort of like navigating any other physical task, like say jumping over something, if you have to think it through too much or second guess it, you probably can't handle it yet...
