Sometimes a piano score should not be taken perfectly literally. You can imagine if the right hand part were sung by a women and the left hand part were sung by a man, the man could hit that D while the women is still singing it. But of course on a piano you cannot strike a key that you are already holding down without first releasing it. So that is what you must do.. release the key early with the right hand so that the left hand can play it's voice on time. And remember you don't replay the note *after* the tie but just keep holding it... that's why the tie is there!
The other thing you have with a piano is the damper pedal. This measure has one harmony so it might be appropriate to sustain throughout the measure. So even though you release the note early in the right hand, if you have the pedal down it is going to keep ringing through anyway.
