Just a little insight into what we find.
on: November 16, 2011, 11:07:17 PM
Customer " I need my piano tuned" Me "Ok. What kind of piano do you have and when was the last time it was tuned?" Customer " I don't know and never" "Its been in my wifes family for years."
"Many keys don't play."

Anyway, It was down a 1/2 step (100 cents) and full of stuff. Pictures with frames, old receipts, pencils, little toys. just STUFF.

She actually tuned up nice (for now). Trying to sell another tuning within a few weeks but owner says no. He'll change is mind when she drops.

And to think other than that, this piano was in nice shape with no rust and hammers that looked almost new.

Nice attitude you had  .

My tuner of the past must not be worried about he economy....... He's gone.

I have a cert. man now who is very straight forward and nice , but  I have kept even my earliest cheap pianos  clean and tuned     ...  NO GARBAGE IN MINE...

Regards, Sim

Half a year ago we had our piano tuned since it was 4-5 years since we last had it tuned. It turned out to be the same tuner we had. Mum lied saying the tuner has never been to our house before, so that the tuner might charge us less. People tend to find tuners who can speak their client's languages. e.g. My tuner speaks Chinese. There really was not much that went wrong, he said. the b was fixed.

The babies in the house (now around 15 and 18) put the debris in the piano. I thought it was funny finding a baby pic in the piano that has probably been missing for years. I didn't charge any extra for  pulling all the stuff out. Didn't take long. I've found pencils and crayons and small debris, but not framed photos. I'm wondering if my next customer will be missing his lawn mower or something. ;D

That's funny. Once I was playing the piano and I had a little toy figure beside me. I was distracted so I played with the minigun. It then slipped inside the lid of the piano and then I realised I could not play the Bb below middle C and so we had to call in a piano tuner to gouge out the minigun.

Why didn't you just take out the keyboard?

I mean why didn't YOU just take out the keyboard and remove the minigun right after it fell down in the piano.

Apparently I was only a kid that time and didn't know much about the piano. It was stuck in a narrow place and didn't know how to take out the keys. I wasn't strong enough either. By keyboard, do you mean keys?

Keyboards  and actions don't just slide out of a vertical like a grand action.
