Non Classical arrangements - Lion King on piano
on: November 23, 2011, 05:51:39 AM
I graduated from Tel Aviv academy of music many years ago. And although I love classical music, I enjoy playing other kinds as well.

I think there may be many people who will enjoy this too, but I did not find many posts around non-classical music on the forum.

Anyway, wanted to share a video I recorded recently - soundtrack from Lion King.  :)

Nice use of chords to transcribe the music. Certainly very refreshing to hear this.

Funny? How? How am I funny?

You have a fluid, unforced technique and an appealing sense of rhythm - nice attributes for improvisation. Thanks for posting your enjoyable playing. I would also like to hear you play your own spontaneous ideas, if you do that sort of thing.

Thank you for your feedback. I certainly do play spontaneously, but haven't recorded it yet. I will post here when I have some "free-your-mind" expressions on the piano :)

I liked it, it was fun :).  I like how you built the intensity from the intro and beginning to the chorus, and then back out again as it came to an end; it's a cute use of dynamic control :).   Are you a singer, too, by chance?

Thank you for the feedback! No, unfortunately - I am a bad singer! :) Can only hum sometimes in a good mood!
