help! needa piece in a week.
on: December 01, 2011, 01:19:51 AM
ok so i fractured my right wrist two days ago and i have to perform something in a week. i want to play something thats predomaninantly in the left hand although it can still be right hand. i need a piece thats quite technical, sounds nice and is suitable for performance to a general audience (it's at my graduation). I just got my ATCL distinction two months ago so i can play most things pretty easily.

any suggestions?

OP said something quite technical - this suggestion is far to easy given the available time-frame..

seriously though, my initial reaction was that learning/practicing a new piece and performing it within one week with a fractured wrist is batsh*t insane. Then again, maybe i'm just weak.

Getting a piece to performance level in 1 week, that's supposed to be technically challangeing. I don't know if I'm being to hard on myself but I would perform the C major scale perhaps. If I got a 1 week notice about a performance. Not a new piece.
