Clumsiness Strikes!
on: December 06, 2011, 09:48:02 PM
Three weeks ago I was playing keyboards for a rock-musical.  While walking across the stage during intermission, I stepped off the edge of the stage, into mid-air.  Needless to say, I discovered that gravity is still very strong around here.

Ended up with a Tibial Plateau Fracture  ???

So, now that I'm on crutches, or in a wheel chair, to get around, my arms are too tired to play my grand piano.  I can still play on the electric, but do still tire quickly.  Any advice on how to keep up at least some practice regimen with over-worked arms?
Albeniz: Suite Española #1, Op 47,
Bach: French Suite #5 in G,
Chopin: Andante Spianato,
Chopin: Nocturne F#m, Op 15 #2
Chopin: Ballade #1 Gm & #3 Aflat Mj

Mental play. - practice in your head so to speak, imagine the fingerings, hear the music in your head without the need to play it.

Work on theoretic concepts. - analyse form or harmony in your pieces, or try transposing them in to several different keys.

I could go on..
