Scriabin Op.2 No.1
on: December 14, 2011, 07:14:24 PM
Hello everybody, this is my first post!

I am 26y now, so I took up piano playing two years ago, since I quit 10 years before that.
Thanks to my teacher who happened to be an alumna of Moscow Conservatory and instructed me to what I began to call the russian school of hand-technique, enormous possibilities quickly became reality.

The following recording is from a concert one year ago at the home of a fellow student with friends and family (hence the baby-cry and occasional dog-running-by :)
It's a nice little piece, so quiet and gloomy.
Please tell me what you think, thanks a lot!

Mark

Absolutely beautiful! This is one of my favorite pieces.  It sounds like you have a great teacher and are enjoying lessons.  Keep up the good work.

Hi meggadodd

Your playing is lyrical and sensitive in this prelude.  A very convincing rendition.

Truly wonderful....I almost wanted to cry. I think every thing was near perfection. I just really want to point out that you handled the spreads really well because Scriabin had  a knack for putting large stretches in his music despite his small handsize. Apart from 1 or 2 minor stumbles, a very good yet near perfect rendition.

BTW this piece reminds me of Chopin prelude no4.

Funny? How? How am I funny?
