The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

Video: Scriabin Etude in Bbm

Hi, this is my first post here. I'd like some feedback on this performance.
I should mention that I have been teaching myself to play piano for 3 and a half years, so don't expect anything remarkable or unique.

This was played on a digital piano.

Welcome, Mertez!
I enjoyed a lot your performance!
For a self-taught, you play very well, both from the technical and from the musical point of view..

Just one thing: since the piece is a bit ripetitive, yout can try to vary and  to nuance more the musical phrases, specially towards the end. Anyway  I'm a plain amateur: I hope someone more expert than me will give you a more articulated and useful advice.

Keep on, and good luck

Margherita

this is very nice playing, i hear some wonderful moments where your legato is coming together nicely and is so smooth (but give us more)!  i love scriabin so much and it was a joy to watch this. my only suggestion is to continue to explore places where you can either dial the accompanying chords back a bit to really let the heart tugging melody sing out, or just try to voice to it some more, this is one of those pieces where it can actually help to listen to both the horowitz version and the cello version for interpretivie and musical inspiration.

thanks for sharing, please keep it up and post more! :D

Thank you for your compliments and suggestions.:)
I am glad you enjoyed it.

I recently finished the first movement of his Sonata No. 2. I will probably post a performance sometime in the future.  :)
