i am genuinely in love with these pianos, there's a dealer not too far from me and i go in whenever i'm in their city and play on these. always a joy. i got to try their new concert grand last time. simply superb, i actually preferred it to the new mason and hamlin concert grand, and several of their bigger bosendorfers.

pleyel are nice, i think they only put out abotu 25 instruments per year

interestingly apparently chopin himself only used pleyel's instruments personally and considered them the finest made, he did after all make paris his home so i can see how he would have fallen in love with these
debussy was also quite fond of these

ca 1937 they only made 3 of these but their site had a section on personalization, they'll pretty much make anything you want so in addition to original design you could probably get them to turn one of these out, i think it's quite beautiful even in the old photo

ok now we're just repeating stuff, are people just posting things as they come across them without seeing if they're in the thread? not barking at anyone but i think i've seen several come up later in the thread that i could have sworn i threw up a while back.  i'll try and be careful not to post anything that someone else has posted either

i don't recall seeing any sauter entries except for one i posted earlier, i know very little about them they seem up there with seiler and pleyel though

Yeah well there are too much pianos in this thread we just can't simply browse the whole thread before posting another picture. I noticed that too but I can't be bothered removing them. I've seen one come up today and I posted that very piano the day before. It doesn't matter.

no worries,
the more i see the more i like what sauter does, some really nice execution of modern and classic elements, but a bit understated, really quite nice i hope to see some in person one day
