I havenīt heard anything by Rubinstein so far that I have found really great.Whatīs his best recording?
wow i'm on the opposite end, i haven't found anything of his i don't absolutely love, for me to choose would be like asking me what my favorite key/note is out of the 88 we get to hand out with every day. i can't do it.
I so love his rendition of Chopin's Polonaise in A flat major op 53 and his recordings of Chopin's Mazurkas. I believe his rendition of Chopin op53 has to be among the top 5 recordings of that piece ever. The Mazurkas are one of the neglected works of Chopin but it was wonderful that RUbinstein recorded most of them. Whenever I learn a Mazurka or interested in one I usually listen to his recordings. JL
