I was going to say 4'33 anyway.
I don't count it as a piece of music. By any stretch of avant garde imagination, Varese's assertion that "music is organised sound" is applicable. Even pieces of music that sound like random gibberish, there is a method to the madness though not to everyone's taste.
4'33, however has no kind of organisation. Therefore, to me, it is not music/a piece, but a cleverly done plagiarism of an age old philosophy. Cage did not "write" anything, and as such can not be counted a "composer" in the context of this entity (not music or piece).
As for whether or not I like or hate it... I do like it. It is quite therapeutic to take time to just sit and listen to your surroundings.
