Time Log
on: February 10, 2012, 02:42:01 PM
I am not sure this the right place to post this -but I can't say I like knowing exactly how long I have spent on this site -makes me feel a bit icky.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

The way I see it, there are far worse things to be wasting your time on than engaging in discussions revolving around the piano.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Not me. The longer I spend on Pianostreet forum, the more enjoyable I find it. I don't care how long I've been here. I've seen some guys like Enrique who log off instantly after they post. But not for me.

Ditto.  It's still at least somewhat piano related.

Although I do wonder about that one guy with the most amount of time and only about six posts.  That seemed weird.

lol i'm on the go go go most of the time , usually i check in then i gotta head out to class, or accompany, or workout , etc. etc.  sometimes im in lecture and just log on real quick before we move on to another topic. then there are those times i have left for the day and forgot to log out and i come back and the timer has been going the whole time, so i guess it's never really clear if i'm on or not

I think it marks you inactive after 15 minutes or so.

When I first joined, I would keep Piano Street open on one tab while I worked on other things. Then, I noticed it was keeping track of my time! I hate things to be inaccurate, so I can't possibly stay logged on if I'm not actually on. Am I weird that way? So, I guess I've literally spent 20 days on this forum. :o  Yeah, a little icky, but it's not so bad when I think of the things I've learned from the members here. I've read books that were recommended, tried new techniques, and recieved excellent advice as feedback to some of my audition posts. I probably don't need to come on here as often as I do, though. There are some entertaining threads that I can't help but read, even though there are better things I could do with my time. Y'all are just too funny sometimes.

If only I could go back and clock the time I spent searching youtube for matches to hoax recordings; of course, never finding any. I have only done that once or twice, but boy did I feel stupid (or, in startstruck5's words . . . icky) for wasting my time!  ::)

I decided I don't resent a moment I have spent on PianoStreet -they say home is where your heart is -and being amongst people who share a passion is never a waste of time -bring on the days and mopnths -nay -years!!!

Joined 2010.  About three posts per year, for a total of six posts.

Yet he has 145 days online?  And was just online less than an hour ago today?

Maybe it's Bernahrd, reading everything on the forum but not replying.

And the activity by time doesn't quite make sense either.  Active most during just two hours of the day, much more on one than the other?    I wonder if it's some kind of bot program.

And another guy who I will not name for various reasons. He has spent at least 80 days here. If you go to the statistics page and see the section 'most time online' his name will pop up. He only has 1 post to his/her name and that post was pretty recent. If memory serves that post was about a long lost Rubinstein video footage. I noticed the people who spend the most time online usually have 1000+ posts.

I think the 'activity' refers to the time you make a post.
