Full Amnesiacs

You can teach a full amnesiac to play the piano.  Of course from hour to hour they'd forget they knew  how to play it.  What does that say about memory and piano learning?

Please.  I'm just hoping Alzheimers avoids me.  I wonder if you forget how to play.  On the other hand you probably wouldn't give a damn anyway...  :'(
