My revived composition!
on: February 15, 2012, 11:40:46 PM
Hey, I composed a concerto 3 years ago (when I was 13) that I totally forgot about. Just found it buried among many files in my PC. Anyway, when I look back on it, it's poorly organised but I'd thought I'd share it with you guys. It's supposed to express characteristics from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods with poor modulations in between those eras and  the instruments double up most of the time! (which is bad)...  It sounds so messy and disorganised in retrospect. I haven't composed anything for 2 years now but I'd like to start composing concertos, nice ones with strings and continuo in the style of Vivaldi!

Here's what I did for 30 minutes today:

I like to think I've got something that can turn out to be very fiery and 'vivaldian' in style. I've just got to add the other instruments (violas, violins, cellos, continuo).

Here's another part of a composition I did in the style of a Bach cantata. I must have done this like 2 years ago now though! :)

Though I do much prefer Vivaldi!

I enjoy composing, although I haven't composed in years. I'm going to start again. It's fun thing to do in my spare time!

Here's the messy concerto I did when I was 13 (with sheet music). My composition skills have improved DRASTICALLY since then and my themes and ideas tend more towards Vivaldi than Bach. Links below:

Pity you couldn't post an audio example without having to download- you would get more listens and responses.
When a search is in progress, something will be found.
