I dont know if I trust you when you say "excellent condition".  According to who?  You?  maybe you keep it nice and shiny, but the whippens are falling apart as well as the keybed.  Old pianos with names like "Steinway", in truly excellent condition will never sell for a mere 2500$.

DonJuan,  You can always make an appointment to go look at the piano and play it before you fork out the cash.  You can even take a piano technician with you to have him/her inspect the piano.

The bottom line is...  If you don't trust this to be a Steinway in GREAT condition, then don't bother to reply to the post but why do you have to play the part of "Price Police".  After all I did not see anywhere in his post that he was asking for anybody’s opinion as to his price.

Who knows…  Maybe this is one of those: Once in a Lifetime” deals!!   ;)

Donjuan, I live in Romania(East of Europe) and $2500 with transport included I think isn't too much for you, but for me it is (In Romania, jobs are payed with $200/month).

I am a piano player and I want to sell it because the sound it is too loud - I have problems with the neighbours(I live in a flat...). ...and because I'll move in another country to study...next year.

I have photos with this piano, if you want.

The price is $2500 American Dollars with transport included(that means a transport by ship from a Black Sea Port to New York).

If you know persons interested in buying this kind of piano(or possible collectioners - it has also interesting decorations and it was the first model of Steinway Upright piano with Sostenuto Pedal), please help me.

Best regards,
Ciprian Costin.

can you post a picture online?  And do you ship the piano anywhere other than New York?

Hello,

As far as I know is 2500 USD for a Steinway Upright not much.
Even he's 100 years old.

As a mather a fact I don't see how someone can send an upright to the rest of the world for 2500 usd ????
I pay like 1250 euro to get moved from one town to another (like 50 miles away)
