Brahm's 51 exercises and a great find at the music store!
on: February 22, 2012, 06:12:09 AM
Someone suggested buying this book in order to work on trills. I went to my music store today and they had it! The sticker on it was so old and it was $6.50. It's been in the store for years! Does anyone else recommend this exercise book? It looks difficult, but I just got it today and haven't had a chance to delve into it.
Last week when I was there, I bought a Gottschalk piece that has been in the store for over 20 years or so and it was $2.95! It was the Souvenir de la Havane, but I wanted the one from Puerto Rico (wish list someday). I bought it anyway because it was so pretty; the paper it was printed on and everything -- such high quality! Copyright is 1983! I just love looking at it. It was published by WmHall & Son 543 Broadway. I felt like I hit the jackpot at a garage sale!
