Elegie Op10 by Jules Massenet and vocal ( ? )
on: February 23, 2012, 01:39:07 AM
Hi,

I have come across a new piece to try by Jules Massenet called Elegie. Although I am enjoying the piano I would like to try and do the vocal part to this piece as well. Also Kind of curious, it seems on the net there are two versions - one for solo piano and one for accompaniment  The main difference seems to be the vocal accompinament has an intro where the "piano" version does not.
Are there any sights for classical vocalist music like this piano street ? I would like to figure out the lyrics. When I hear all the lovely opera singer perfomances I cannot understand one word even while trying to read along. Are they singing in different languages  other than French ?  Anyhow, if you know of any resources to check out it would be appreciated and I am sorry if this wastes space on the piano group I didnt know where else to ask. I have never sang a classical piece but am willing to be daring with this one. Plus I know several violinists that could play along too.
