Watermelon Man - Herbie Hancock (Perfomance)
on: February 26, 2012, 05:20:48 PM
Hi to everyone! Today I'd like to show you something different. I'd like you to watch this perfomance that is realised by the Big Band from the Villena's Conservatory (Spain) in the city "La Romana". This is one of the pieces that we played. It's composed by Herbie Hancock and it's called Watermelon Man. :)

Herbie Hancock composed this music in the Jazz style,  but transcribed to Big Band, it loses a little that touch. Anyway, you can apreciate easily the Jazz's touch of this piece.

I'm playing piano part. I play that piece BY HEART AND WITH NO SCORES beacause I've always liked to be able to pay attention to the director's indications.

I hope you like this perfomance from the Big Band of the Villena's Profesional Music Conservatory!   :D
