Hi boys and girls, I made this video last night just to help those people who want to learn this "aeolian harp" etude to play it effortlessly in no time.
This is the way taught by the music conservatory/universities.
I hope you find this useful and played it as if you are plucking a harp.

All played without using pedal as an intial stage, once you have mastered all the notes and memorized, you can start adding your whrist/arm....and start legato playing. Pedaling is the last thing we do.

Well...errm..is this supposed to be a sort of parody or so?  :-\ If so, yes it's very funny...

But I fear for your hands, that's why I got very unsure at first  :-\ Well I'm still unsure  :-\

Hey wofi. it might look funny to you, but this is the way to give a clear articulation and played it with out efforts, I know many peopel in the past having sore hand, that they can not even past the 3tird page. Well, its easier for you say than done. When put in practice and experimenting it youself and you will aprreciate how this will work.

I have a strong pair of hands but prefred to play soft rather rough.

For an average painist, need to play this piece 250 times onc ememrorized beofre any serious recording or performing. ;)

Cheers

You might want to look into Birba's video, that he made for Costicina, in the Aeolian harp project thread. That's the right approach for this etude.

thanks Wofi, Good work by Birta.
I have done my recordings in 2006, now just got a new set of new mics, its an old school to be honest. But our human ears prefer a better sound quality. As I said, I have heard too many pianist are overly focused on top notes and ignored the rest-individual notes. This is why I called a poor articulation. ;)

There is no exact right approcah or wrong approach, its up to individuals to discover the SMART way of playing rather a long path and going in circles. Once you get older, you know why ;)
Every ones hands and make ups are different. ::)
