What is this piece?
on: March 15, 2012, 06:04:55 AM
Hey guys, I came across this video on Youtube. It's supposed to be a Mario Piano Medley, however, the medley has a combination of some classical pieces as well.  I really want to know what piece the guy is playing at 2:21... It would be great if someone could tell me.  Thanks in advance.

Repertoire:

Chopin Etude in E Major Op. 10 No. 3

I believe that is a latter section from "la Campanella" - by franz liszt.

Next time post this kind of question in the repetoire section though, this is not what the audition room is for.

I agree 2:21 is La Campanella.

This vid is an example of an excellent exercise one can do to apply a thematic idea across multiple styles.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Thanks a lot.  That was the piece I was looking for.  I didn't notice the repertoire section that's why I thought the audition room would be the most relevant place to post it.  Thanks for letting me know, though, where I should be posting this.

Also, I'm glad everyone else liked the video; it's pretty awesome.  ;D
