How do I solve these problems?
on: March 16, 2012, 11:38:58 AM
Hi everyone!

Okay, this is the case. I have, over the past two months, been working on Chopin's op 48 no 1. I have finished the doppio movimento section and the middle section with all the octaves, I have it memorized and up to tempo. The part I am now working on, is the first part, the beginning. The thing is, I have a problem with this section, because I can almost sight read through it, and I have no clue on how to memorize this part... Do you have any tips on how to practice this part and parts in pieces in general that are technically a bit easier and slower? I mean how do I memorize this?

Thanks!

So you've memorized the whole Doppio Movimento and you want to memorize everything else before it. How about practice getting through the Nocturne from start to finish?

Chord progressions and harmony. Know what keys the nocturne modulates to.

Good work memorizing and getting the doppio movimento up to speed. I'm struggling with that section.

Perfection itself is imperfection.
