In our 1st post of this piece over a year ago(?), Dave (furtwaengler) impressed upon us, among others,  that the finale (starting about 5:50) should affect the listener like a typhoon/hurricane, it should be INTENSE .... with that advice we hope Lorenzo was able to generate the effect of a storm or at least a windy day. ;D  ;D  ;D

THANKS and we wish you would be kind enough to comment.

about the recording:
The ZOOM 4Hn was placed inside the piano ... drawback here was it easily picked up any noise generated by the piano, especially the pedal, but the lower notes stood out very well.  Another mike was placed in front of the piano (Shure-cardiod condenser) about 8 feet away and the built-in stereo microphones of the camcorder which was 10 feet behind the piano.

It's enjoyable to watch and listen to Enzo, here.  He's definitely got the chops to bring the storm, and he brought the audience to their feet!  Congratulations :).

An excellent performance -- especially heightened with your wonderful personal interpretative touches. Thanks so much for sharing.

Enzo has understood this piece, its character, its flavour..., many acclaimed pianists are not able to do the same.

Hello Myla .... Hi Chuck ....  Hello Margh !!!

Thanks for the generous and encouraging comments .... I know from Enzo's smiles that he appreciates.... only problem is, as usual he is sssoooooo silent. He once told me that it makes the whole thing more fun and worthwhile when people truly like what he does.  I think that goes for all pianists.  THANKS... ;D :)

Hi Enzo and emill,

A very fine redition indeed.  And the ending had more fire, energy and passion than before.  Bravo!

Is it me or he make everything look easy? Fantastic coda and the build up to it. Mate, you gotta play the 4 Scherzi. Look forward to it.

Hello David, Thal and Dan !!! :)

We are really happy that this time Enzo's redition is more appreciated. I must admit it took a good amount of focus and work on Enzo's part to pull it off.  We are really flattered by Thal's Ashkenazy thing ... and danhuyle's advice that Enzo start learning the other 4 Scherzi.  WOW ! were are elated.  David as usual is so supportive.  THANKS...thanks... and more thanks.  Enzo is obviously glad of the acceptance.

Enzo:  I've always been your fan, since I watched a video of you playing Fantasie Impromptu when you were a mere 10 years old and I've been a member of PS since December and I didn't know you were a member too!!!  Unfortunately, that's the only two things we have in common as I can only dream about playing like you.

This piece is one of my favorite Chopin and I was charmed by your mastery of it.  You play it with the emotions of someone so much older.  How do you do it?  I agree with Thal.  It sounded like Ashkenazy!

This is absolutely fantastic! Enzo knocked it out of the park! I am rendered speechless by his ability.
