Avi Schonfeld - Tango Etude for Piano Solo
on: March 23, 2012, 01:21:55 PM
I'm looking for a recording of this to preview the work perhaps before I buy it (published by Durand, US distribution via Hal Leonard).  It's widely available but I can't find a single listing for a performance recording, audio clip (even a fragment), or anything just places galore to buy it (no reviews on any sites i have seen).

anyone familar with this work? thoughts on the music? technical aspects (this isn't a , is this hard?, i can't stand those questions, more along the lines of what technical puzzles does one encounter how is technical approach to music ameliorated after studying this ?  etc. real musical questions like that).

any help would be great since all my usual sources are not turning anything up useful for me to make an informed judgement as i compile my list of works to review before deciding on summer repertoire assingments so I can begin reading new music in May. Thanks !

interesting his teacher's lineage has a direct tie to Bartok and Arthur Rubenstein!
