Chopin Ballade 3
on: March 27, 2012, 09:14:07 AM

This is my new recording of Chopin Ballade 3. It's been more than a year after my first recording. I hope you like this interpretation. Your comments and criticism are welcome. Thank you.

That was a grand performance.  can, your playing is in a class by itself.  You have learned both ballade no. 3 and nocturne opus 48 no. 1.  I'm curious as to which was more difficult and why.  Opus 48 no. 1 sounds more difficult to me!

Thank you very much for all of your kind words. :) well in my opinion Ballade no. 3 is much harder than the nocturne. Of course after the chorale section of the nocturne, it becomes quite difficult with those octaves and polyritmus.(I wonder if I spelled correctly) But musically speaking the narrative style of the ballade requires much more musicality and knowledge. For me, I have been playing the ballade for almost 2 years but I still don't feel OK in many parts while the nocturne was quite comfortable after few months. This is my opinion, but of course difficulties are subjective.
