jazz piano - where to begin?
on: January 26, 2003, 11:03:53 AM
I'd like to learn how to play jazz piano/improvisation in general, but I've only had classical instruction.  I have no idea where to begin.  My attempts to find some help online resulted in even more confusion.  Am I supposed to get books and learn on my own, or should I just take lessons?  Any advice would be appreciated.

Lessons are good idea.I know for some Gershwin's book with easy pieces,or Joplin's...About improvisation...you should take a lessons,J think.I'm interested in jazz also,but... :-/
