I loved the piece     definitely sad but beautiful

You play very well   I have been playing for a year and I am sure I could not play that so beautifully

Keep up the good work!

Yay for VGM!  ;D That was a very good performance of that piece from FFX. I've sight-read the piece a few times through but never got around to really learning it.

I recently bought the FFXIII Piano Collections book myself. Some of the pieces arranged in that are amazing  :-* Makes me want to get other FF Piano Collections~
Currently learning -

- Bach: P&F in F Minor (WTC 2)
- Chopin: Etude, Op. 25, No. 5
- Beethoven: Sonata, Op. 31, No. 3
- Scriabin: Two Poems, Op. 32
- Debussy: Prelude Bk II No. 3

i have all of them. if you can swing it financially, they are worth it. also I just got the new Piano Opera Final Fantasy I,II,III, it too is amazing, more so in many ways.

to the OP, nice job on this, overall i like your pacing of it, but i think you can explore more originality in what you want to convey (i.e. it is good but sounds very much like what we expect or are used to hearing with this work, i think stylistically you can explore more extremes in dynamics and experiment with tempo planning and still be true to the music/composer's intent).

again nice job, as the resident FF universe fanboy it's nice to see someone post one of these, hope to see more.

i'm on the back end of a FF piano collections work and just starting Op 1 from Piano Opera so stay tuned those will be finished hopefully by 3q 2012...

PS to the OP and only if you are playing from the original Hamautzu edition/version if you used a 'fan arrangeent or your own, nevermind...(i did not follow along with score on this just listened), not a reflection of your piano playing, but i must interject that I do not condone the 'copies' and really would ask you to think long and had about what denying the publisher, retailer, and composers of their income from studying unauthorized scores (if you purchased and made personal copies that is different), does in the long term scheme of things, i.e. if you like the music, you are essentially taking a stance against it's production, evolution, propagation, etc i.e. working against it continuing to come to market by not purchasing scores when the arragnement and music are in print and under copyright.....

I've played this piece myself. Maybe you could explore using rubato and other possible interpretations.
Otherwise, good work.

You play that piece absolutely beautifully.
You also have a lovely touch, and seem to put a lot of feeling into it.
Beautifully played, and keep up the good work! ;D
