My concert program
on: April 05, 2012, 10:38:53 PM
1.- Beethoven's "Appassionata"
2.- Schubert's Impromptu in F minor D.935

Intermission

3.- Variations on a theme by Chopin - Etude Op 25-2 in F minor.
     Theme - Etude Op 25-2
Var 1: Op 25-2 played as Liszt once did (Right hand in octaves)
Var 2: Op 25-2 arranged by Brahms.
Var 3: Op 25-2 aranged by Godowsky (Etude No 26. 1st version from etude Op 25-2)
Var 4: OP 25-2 arranged by Godowsky (No 28. 3rd version 'version B' from etude Op 25-2)

4.- Chopin's 4th ballade in F minor.

Opinions??
The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

Overall it's a nice program.  Good luck !   However it seems a bit restricted.  Any reason you didn't want to throw anything Baroque and/or 20th century into the mix ?  Personally I would like to see a bit more variety (but that's only my personnal opinion)...
Bach: Tocatta in D Minor  BWV 913
Busoni: Transcription of the Bach D minor Chaconne
Haydn: Piano Sonata Hob 16 no. 32 - B Minor
Balakirev: Nocturne #2 - B Minor
Prokofiev: Piano Sonata #1 - F Min

That was the first thing I thought of.

I think that it's a good idea you started off with Appassionata.  I don't know what the audience is gonna be like, but if they're not usually classical listeners, people typically like something loud and fast.

Live large, die large.  Leave a giant coffin.
