Video - Chopin Etude Op10 No12
on: April 13, 2012, 12:47:43 AM
It's that etude again.

Better than my other video if anyone remembers that one. It's a bit static and I can do some more with it. Speed is not an issue. It's more the interpretation, creating contrast and more layer of colors.

This comes down to the ability to interpret.

Any comments appreciated. :)
Perfection itself is imperfection.

Hi Dan,
It's getting very interesting to see how some our three different approach to this Etude. We are three now: me, Perfect-Pitch and you. Of the three, I'm the in the less advanced stage, I'm still struggling with crucial technical issues that are detrimental to the interpretation issue. Yet I have a very clear idea of the the way I want to play this piece.

You too, it seems, are full aware of what needs to be improved; and this, IMO; is an essential requirement  to  improve.
I hope other more competent forumeers will commenton your performance. It would be interesting if you post another recording showing how and in what extent you have implemented and incorporated constructive criticism in your playing.

Anyway, you have already dramatically improved since your last video. You're on the right track!!!!!

Love that last powerful burst!  I enjoyed your performance of this stirring patriotic etude.
