Hi. I have studied for some days this incredible piece... I have made this recording (Sony PCM-D50 edited with Adobe Audition) before begin a full restauration of the piano: a gorgeous 220 cms Bechstein grand from 1898, which needs new hammers, strings... Hope you enjoy it.

Despite the wierd sound of the piano, I liked that very much.  I can imagine the sound of the Bechstein when you've changed the strings and had it worked on.  Isn't gratifying to play on an instrument like that, even in it's present condition?  We sort of get used to the sound after a while.

In the edition I have added some delay room effects to "mask" the old noisy dampers... Of course, despite its age and condition, I enjoy very much with this superb (114 old) grand.
