Cortot editions of Chopin
on: April 30, 2012, 05:52:01 PM
Does anyone know where to find the Cortot editions of Chopin, in English? If anyone has them, I'd appreciate if s/he could post them here :)

There are quite a few editions, both in English and French. Which ones are you looking for?

I meant the Salabert edition, in english. As many of the books as possible (so, whatever pieces you have).

Thanks! :)

you should try and narrow your request to a certain work maybe, i think you'll get more help along that line. the 'requests board' is generally not a  'post entire volumes'/whole collected works of X edition or such and such composer, too broad, too much music to just put up for the sake of putting up as in examp[le, i'd like all of beethoven bagatelles and variations all works in schott edition or something like that. i don't think it works like that.

especially since that can dilute the revenue the site needs to stay affload from their sheet music business. if you're after volumes of works you could try checking with music dealers they may be able to order an entire collection of something if that is what you're after.

i hope this helps you better define what you're needing help with so someone that has maybe the piece you're looking for can post it for you or show you who sells it if it is still in print.

SOrry, I didn't mean to ask for people to upload. It's just a question where to get the full volume, and if someone had the time and energy to upload the entire set, I would appreciate it. Though, I would appreciate it just as much if someone told me where to order them :)
