Where can an amateur pianist perform?
on: May 01, 2012, 11:56:57 PM
I'm an amateur pianist from the Philippines and I would like to perform in a formal recital... but I just do not know how to organize one and where I can find a place to play in. I've had lots of recital experience when I took lessons and I've joined 2 piano competitions and won 3rd place in both of them. Any tips on how I can organize a recital? I can play classical and modern pieces...
I really need help...

Are you going to hold the recital in the Philippines? Here in North America, people can rent a venue (like a church) and hold a recital. You will have to do some advertising, but if you have a lot of friends and family its a good starting point. It will cost you a lot of $$$ though.

I formed an adult amateur piano group. We get together quarterly. It is fun!!!!
